WEEK 7&8 (MARCH 9-20)

Dear All,

This week, we mostly focused on Introduction. Let's remember the strategies for a good introduction.

  1. Working on the Key Words in the Topic Question: Work on the key words and think of some related information.
  2. Starting with an Opposing Idea: In a cause essay, you can mention some possible effects of the topic or vice versa.
  3. From Past to Present: Mention the progression of an issue from the past to the present.

1-  Although we practiced in the class, refer to page 91 Youth Violence and write body paragraphs on pages 92 and 93.
2-  Write conclusions on pages 95-96.
3- Write a full essay on the following topic. Make sure that you edit your essay before (refer to the information on page 96).

WEEK 5&6 (MARCH 2-13)

Dear All,
This week we started Essay Writing at last. As I always tell you eassys are the expanded forms of paragraphs. I mean when you are good at paragraph writing, you will definitely write good essays.
Previously, we learnt some ley words and phrases for cause paragraphs. We will be using the same wordsand phrases whike writing cause essays as well. Obviously we will apply the same method for other types of essays.

Lets remember some of the key words and phrases for both for a Cause Paragraph and Essay:
